Drama/ Performances

Dominika Weinert is a contemporary artist who has newly formed and continually examines the music theater genre. Her work does not concern a one-to-one translation and interpretation of musicals or theater pieces, but rather another constellation of music texts and movements, that are becoming a new kind of theater presentation. To do this, she writes her own directing concepts and develops thereupon her own theater work and performances. Her elements of movement develop from theatrical impulses, acquired through improvisation. Her work often is formed with and supplemented by the collaboration of different artists from the fields of representative and formative art. The contents of her work involve social criticism and current events. She plays in her own theater works. For this reason she collaborates with a coach, who advises her and accompanies her projects.
